Heel Pain 

Are you struggling with pain in your heel? 

Heel pain is the most common presenting foot pathology. It develops for many reasons: anything from overuse to inappropriate footwear. The heel is one of the most complex areas of the foot, and the correct diagnosis is critical. Ultrasound can often be used to guide the correct diagnosis leading to the implementation of a successful treatment plan.

Possible Cause

  • Plantar fasciitis/fasciopathy

 

  • Tarsal tunnel syndrome 

  • Insertional Achilles tendinopathy 

  • Radiculopathy: spinal origin 

  • Fat pad irritation 

  • Baxter's nerve entrapment 

  • Retrocalcaneal Bursitis

  • Bursitis
